Flipcash, Solflare, and R2 are already building.

This follows a pattern.

Western Union announced USDPT on Solana. Klarna announced KlarnaUSD on Tempo.

Now Coinbase makes it accessible to any company with distribution.

But here's what I find FASCINATING:

Think about big companies with loyalty points.

Loyalty points are liabilities.

Every point you issue sits on your balance sheet as a debt.

Airlines manage billions in outstanding miles. CFOs hate it. The whole model depends on "breakage" - hoping customers forget to redeem.

Stablecoins flip this.

You're holding cash-backed reserves.

Those reserves earn 4-5% yield while they sit there.

Customers can spend them directly. They're programmable and shareable.

Same customer engagement. Completely different balance sheet.

Bridge, M0, and Agora have been building "roll your own stablecoin" infrastructure for a while.

Coinbase just made it a checkbox feature.
