She’s an AI creation from UK producer Eline van der Velden. With trailers, casting clips and a polished social feed, Tilly looks like a rising star. Agencies even pitched her as if she were real.

The backlash came fast. Emily Blunt called it “a gut punch to every working actor.” Sophie Turner said “Wow. No thanks.” And SAG-AFTRA warned: “Creativity should remain human-centered.”

The concern is studios promoting AI actors who can ‘do anything we want,’ while humans are left competing for roles.

So... is Tilly a creative experiment or the start of AI replacing real performers?
