The next generation of US millionaires will be plumbers and electricians

I think Huang is right.

People getting rich from AI won’t only those who be write code but also electricians and plumbers might be the winners of the AI boom.

Because AI doesn’t run on magic, it runs on power, cooling, fiber, and concrete.

→ Every GPU needs electricity. → Every server needs a place to live. → Every data center needs to be built from scratch.

Skilled trades are the backbone of it all.

And demand is exploding.

Nvidia alone is spending $100 billion to build infrastructure. Multiply that across Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, and more.

By 2030, global spending on data centers will hit trillions.

Huang isn’t romanticizing the trades. He’s being practical.

There’s a real labor gap. Not enough skilled workers to keep up with the speed of AI expansion.

Trade schools aren’t a backup plan anymore. They’re a direct path to high-demand, high-paying work.

This is where the real shortage is. And where the money’s heading fast.
